Share with us the story behind your brand, and what inspired you to start your influencer journey? Why?

The story behind my brand started back when I was in high school.

My cousin was a fantastic hairstylist, and he taught me how to do hair. In college, my godmother was an excellent nail tech, and she taught me to do nails.

After moving to Atlanta, I became interested in makeup and learned how you to do makeup from YouTube videos. I started to do the makeup very well, and I begin to work under a celebrity makeup artist.

Being well skilled with hair, nails, and makeup helped me to grow my social media following. I begin to gain the interest of many beauty, fashion, and lifestyle brands.

That is how I became an influencer with elegance, style, and lifestyle as my niche.

What do you want your audience to receive?

What I would want my audience to receive from me is that you are once decision away from changing your whole life.

I STARTED with goals. My goals turned into plans, plans became actions. And my actions gave me the results I wanted for my purposes.

If I can do it, you have to START.

How do you believe your influence makes an impact on your audience?

I think my control makes an impact on my audience because I am genuine.

I genuinely want what’s best for those around me so if a brand I use is good, you can trust that I will share and if it is not, then I will not.

I aspire to educate my audience on all brands that I promote to the best of my ability.

What attracts your audience to your platform?

The main three things that I feel attracts my audience to my platforms are…

My photo aesthetics; that’s usually 1st complement I get when someone asks for my social media in person. My travel/job as a flight attendant; I am always on the go, which is inspiring and interesting.

My spirit; I am very self-aware, self-confident, self-motivated, and that is part of my attraction as well.

What do you believe is the number one key to building and maintaining an audience?

I believe the number one key to building and maintaining an audience is your effort, authenticity, and consistency on your platforms.

If people know what you are producing is good, have a sense of who you are and what you offer consistently, then they are more likely to be a loyal follower.

Why do you think social media is important to incorporate into a market strategy for influencers and brands?

I think social media is important to incorporate into a market strategy for influencers and brands because nowadays, social media is big.

It’s used for daily news, shopping, dating, trends, everything. As an influencer or brand, it is smart to utilize these platforms to tap into more of a direct market then utilizing tv, radio, or billboards for advertising.

People might not always be able to watch tv, listen to the radio or look at billboards for whatever reason.

But people always have access to their phones and social media.

What social platform holds your biggest audience?

My Instagram is my social platform that holds my biggest audience.

I think that it is the most popular because it is the platform I have put the most effort, authenticity, and consistency into. Some of my other platforms I am not active as often as I am with Instagram, no excuses.

I will be being doing much better coming into this next year with all of my platforms. Hold me to that!

Have you been able to monetize your brand this year either through your social media account or another business model? Explain.

I have have been able to monetize my brand in several ways.

I have collaborated with other brands, and I started my own brand/business as well as an author, coach, and speaker. I am currently re-branding and will be re-launching soon.

All will be displayed on my website LifeAsLachae.com.

What are the strategies you’ve used to improve your this year?

The most important approach I have used to improve myself this year is empowering myself.

I research, I read, I write, I feel, I acknowledge, I let go, I love, I learn, I teach, I appreciate, I laugh, I cry, I forgive, I give thanks almost daily. As I begin to do those things, I begin to realize I was planting seeds in me.

And when I let go, everything around me began to grow. I am revamping my brand and me this last quarter of the year, and it will be great.

What are the strategies you’ve used to improve your this year?

I am revamping my LifeAsLachae brand!

I have been buying new equipment, coming up with fresh content, and creating new marketing plans. I’m excited to share; please stay tuned!!

How do you plan out the content for your brand’s social media account?

Oh gosh, I have a whole system. Lol, I plan everything.

I have a big picture in my head, and I can see it all daily on my vision board, which keeps me focused. I set a goal for my platforms.

I make a plan for my goal down to little details.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to be an influencer?

Go for it! Set a goal. Make a plan. Execute it! Be you, be creative, be consistent, and be realistic with yourself that things will take time to perfect.
